「知のフォーラム」との共催

This program will consider such different topics as art production, religion, thought, and subculture. These topics will be connected and understood coherently in terms of “cultural transmission and diffusion between east and west” as a general concept. Japanese researchers and invited European researchers will hold intensive discussions on each topic, and create new social networks for future research. The program will become an academic arena where different types of knowledge will come together, and new methodologies for Japanese studies will be created. Events [Mar. 30, 2016 Updated] Special seminars on Philosophy, Art and Science: Kant’s Critical Philosophy, German Romanticism, and Nishida. Speaker: Prof. Paul Ziche, Utrecht University, Netherlands. (May, 2016) Workshop on the Encounter between Japan and the Netherlands (July, 2016) Workshop on the Effect of the Meiji Restoration on Japanese Culture (September, 2016) Symposium entitled “Knowledge and Arts on the Move: Transformation and Innovation of Knowledge through the Encounters of East and West” (February 14, 2017-Februry 16, 2017)
